PRESS RELEASE of 14/12/97

The MO.CO.VA. (Second Vatican Council Movement) was officially invited to a conference inTurin on celibacy and on the conjugal and family vocation of priests.

The seminar took place on 4th december 1997, in the Main Hall of San Giovanni Battista Hospital, with the active participation of diocesan priests, deacons, religiouses, former priests and Jewish ministers of religion.

MO.CO.VA. strongly asks that the priests problems could be discussed inside the Church itself, without concealment and hypocrisies.

Many priests are forced to live in secret their deep and noble sentimental relationships. A lot of life-companions of priests are forced because be the social pressure to abort . There are a lot of priests’ children forced to live a midden and insignificant social life.

The time was come to face a problem created by men and refused by God with maturity and transparence.
