MO.CO.VA. (Vatican Council Movement II), thanks the President of the Republic, Carlo Azeglio Ciampi and the Committee of the Senate for their strong commitment against death penalty.
Together with the President of the Senate, Nicola Mancino, we hope that the general meeting of U.N.O., the next autumn 2001, “could grant a moratorium either of fact or of right, in sight of its total abrogation” of the above mentioned penalty.
