This statement could have been made by Father Davide Dibello, a correct and reserved person already, invited. I thank him publicly to have taught me, when I was joung, the meaning and the pleasure of the personal prayer.
I have written some main points in progression to avoid being verbose.
- Pope John, the prophet Pope, and the Second Vatican Council have risen a new shining, creative, and irreversible season. In the Catholic Church Catholicism cannot be dogmatic, authoritative and closed anylonger. We must open ourselves to the richness of humanity’s universal religions.
- We have to discover and to learn the holiness of the sex from Hinduism, the meaning of love for every human being from Buddhism. We have to learn from the great religions of the past and, for example, consider the possibility of immortality for animals, as perceived by the ancient Egyptians, like Drewermann shows.
- Above all it is necessary to imitate Jesus Christ’s shamanist sensitivity, portrayed in the Gospel while he is shouting at waves and wind like a child. For him, the Holy Incarnate, there is not inert substance, because everything is alive.
- The post-modern man, following Christ’s example, must own the sensitivity of ancient redskins, ready to receive the energies and the holy voices of the universe.
- In the third millennium sé must practice militant and unviolent love for Gaia, the mythological name of the earth. The problems ecological should not be pared exclusively by the “green” party, but they should be the precile responsabilily of every political party. Like last disorders at Seattle teach us. If capitalism does not become green and human, the earth is going to die.
- We would like that the Jubilee of the year 2000 is remembered affectionately at Monopoli as “The Jubilee of the Lama”.
