YESTERDAY’S AND TODAY’S TERRORISM

Recently I have taken part in a study meeting, realized in Cerignola (Fg) by the club “Solaris 92″as a spokesman. The argument was: “Yesterday’s and today’s terrorism”.
I explain the double and different sacrilege: the war as terrorism of the powerful and the terrorism as war of the poor.
Among the other spokesmen there was Salvatore Berardi, whose father was killed by “the Red Brigades” in 1978. He analized yesterday’s terrorism.
The audience will never forget his eyes. They still retain the distraught astonishment of someone who, at 20, was obliged to ask himself: why to my father? and mostly that voice, mixed with heated tears: I ask God to forgive me, so that I can forgive.
Contacted after his father’s death by Mr. Renato Curcio, ex-member of the Red Brigades, Salvatore asked me to collaborate soon on a debate about terrorism with the same ex-members of the Red Brigades.
From this column my official and intimate “yes” to this good and great man.
