Assumption Day 2008

Things are plastic intimately. Just like the brain. Hence the possibility of a miracle by God, by the same (self miracle).

The Word moans in us Abbà.

The evening floods everything. Dancing with my roots. The shadows offer me cups of love.

Paradisiacal flowers over all the tombs of the earth and in the black holes of the stars.

Your cosmic tears, Father, hug me to Your infinite bosom.

Never say night”: the title of the book of Amos Oz.

We negotiate with enemies, not with friends. About the ostracism of Israel to Hamas.

The hypothesis of God is possibly  necessary. Utopically  necessary.

The atheism is not external to the faith, it spreads under its gowns.

Titus, Rembrandt’s son, the boy with the red hat on golden hair.

His stigmata area gift to the human kind and the church (and to all the sentient beings, able to suffer). They are not a gift to the human beings in themselves. Object of the Word (and the carthusian talks and writes about it with sobriety and the right proportions), not of the vision of men. Or by padre Pio, called to save people not institutions.

They would have never tolerated any pilgrimage to his stigmata.

30 April 1963. John F. Kennedy, the American President of the New Frontier, presents Hans Küng to his collaborators, using these punctual words: “I could define him a man of the New Frontier of the catholic church”.

“…In case of freedom threatening from outside, the Christian can find protection refuge liberty inside the church…While, in case of freedom threatening from inside, the Christian can find protection refuge only in himself, in the stronghold of his free conscience…some representatives of the church do not respect the limits given by the freedom of all the sons of. Because they confused the Revelation of God with an ideology. Because they crossed over their competences and impinged on scientific, philosophical, political, economic fields…”: Hans Küng.

“Intolerance spread in the world with the advent of Christianity is one of its strangest characteristics”: Bertrand Russell.

“…I strongly insist on the accusation of  Dostoevskij in his “Grand Inquisitor” according to which the church betrayed the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His freedom. An accusation which strikes also the churches of Luther and Calvino…”: Hans Küng.

“In the Gospel the only “damned ones” are the rich and the hypocrites. I asked to myself what Christ would do, what He would say today. I would like him to come back and to listen to His voice once again. He would repeat the message again and again, He would do the same way, and would be crucified by the same people: the rich and the hypocrites, the idolaters, and the so called righteous people. Because it is hypocrisy to seem and not to be, do say and not to do, to do and not to suffer, to call oneself generous and pious and then to behave as rapacious”: David M.Turoldo.
