Marriage without the Holy Mass

Il MO.CO.VA. announces

that, recently, Dr. Silvio Garofalo and Dr. Gabriella Comitale, both MO.CO.VA.’s members, got married in the Duomo of Avellino

On their precise request, the marriage ritual did not include the celebration of the Holy Mass. With this sign bride and bridegroom want to transmit to the Hierarchy this message: Mass should be reformed: from a medieval and clergy ritual to a community ritual, from a baroque ritual to an essential and understandable ritual.

furthermore, bride and bridegroom declare their will not to baptise immediately their future children, but to solemnly bless them. They agree to bring up their children according to catholic valves in order to lead them to a conscious and experienced Baptism

Silvio, Gabriella, the best wishes of MO.CO.VA. for a marriage open to Jesus and to the whole heart’s brothers and sisters.
