George Steiner: “for over two thousand years, the Jewish have not tortured anyone and this made their tragic glory. Now to survive – and I want to underline it: to survive – Israel has to humiliate and sometimes to inflict pain to other human beings. This stains this “nobility” of our people, I have always been proud of.

I do know that for a lot of Jewish after the Shoah this birth of a nation was necessary. But I am sure that Baal Shem Tov, one of the masters of Chassidism, was right: the truth is always in exile. To stop in a nation which is armed to the teeth means to become ordinary men.”

To transform the things christically  the Lord Jesus does not need to “come”, but to “intervene”.

Anyway no christical drama.

The Pauline “rapture” is theological mythography. An attempt to express what is impossible to express about the christic omni transformation.

But, despite, the tension to the arrival, you are left at the starting grid. You are left at the post of the theological parabola.

We are in the mist of mystery, broken every now and then from the truth lightings.

The Sun, becoming incarnate, dressed up with mist, clearing it in very punctual and special moments (miracles, transfiguration, resurrection). Without ever suppressing it.

Thirsty of the sun, we live in the enigma. Taking care in the eyes and the heart the gold arrows, that sometimes tear it up.

The images, fragile sisters of impotent brothers, the concepts.

McCain sang: «Bomb bomb bomb; bomb bomb Iran!». He sang on the music of Barbara Ann of the Beach Boys.

The only great objection to God existence is the pain of men and things, the only great response is the cross of God in Christ.

The true theology lives within Elias’ mantel, between fire and darkness, ecstasy and pain.

The true theology is Jacobs injured by the nightly cherub.

The icon of this Elias’ theology, nightly and solar together, is the Teresa of Bernini,  its liquid surrendering to jealous God.

There is no mystics without any pain.

Even God is pain. The cross resembles this truth. God is pain because He loves, if possible, beyond Himself, with all His strength, even virtual, if God knew the non-act, the unfinished.

God is lacerated by His Self, He would break His identity limits. Intended as He is to become even non-God for Love, as He tried to do with the creation and mainly with incarnation.

The only objection to God existence is men’s pain. The only answer to this objection is God’s pain.

Even Christ’s miracles are submitted to ambiguity. Only mad dis-identity love of God escapes from it, fights against it and wins. God that pulls out from Himself not His mask but His skin, His nature.

The category of “sacrifice” makes sense only within the anti-identitary love of God.

The Cross is the peak of Incarnation. Both flood by identitary crowd.

In prophetic consecration, as Eucharistic event, implodes the gift of the stigmata. Infact Eucharistic state of Jesus has been  like a martyr one in the least obvious and arduous sense, connected with the essential madness of God.

Stigmata are conferred inwardly by the silent Victim, to explode publicly and sanction in this way the prophet belongs to God dis-identity, to the incarnated, crucified, resurrected, mystically crucified, eucharized Christ.

In this light the stigmata become less banal and a “sui generis” sacrament of the dis-identitary love of God and His prophet. They become a Eucharistic extension.

Those who disdain them disdain Madness.
