To the letter of Mr. Ugo Francesco Calvo from Turin, published on “Liberazione” of the 2nd march 2003, priest Franco answer:
Dear Calvo,
things are very easy: the Church helped the runaway nazis, but did not support Nazi politics. To its eyes nazis, neverthless their ideology, still belonged to the Human race.
Let us talk about Germans. Let us ask the most important question: were Germans really nazis? I am strongly convinced of the contrary. Hitler gave them bread, homes and jobs, but mainly a dream: against the splitting of Versailles, Germany geopolitically rebuilt. The imperialistic Hitler was the secon one, but Germans were with him, overwelmed by events.
I ask you: were nazis germans?
