And the Lord said to the novice during the private Mass, in the small chapel of Galloro: “be a hidden child”.
At the moment the novice did not understand. Life clarified the Divine recommendation: be man, control and manage the relationship with your childhood. Love deeply, not necessarily in an external sense. Your eye be limpid but even sharp. Your candid heart but also clear.
Your maturity would not kill your childhood. Your childhood would not block your maturity.
Be alive, integrally alive, dynamically alive. Dialectically alive and safe.
We are called to call politically, juridically, socially.
Our society is prey to a self-conservative reflex. Without the wave of a permanent and deep generous input, we could not save ourselves either. From self-conservation to self-destruction the step is immediate.
Jesus, I am lovesick for You, but it is not enough.
I am happy knowing to do Your will and to make Your desires come true.
You are enough but the fact that You are enough is not enough.
You encroach on my heart, because You are bigger than any greatness of Love.
